MFR KURZEME is the only metal hardware manufacturer in the Baltics that has been continuously specializing in the production of window and door hardware, locks, and metal products for over 65 years. Today, the company combines industrial traditions, long-term experience, and modern technology, respecting its industrial heritage while maintaining consistent quality standards across generations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The factory's historical roots can be traced back to 1890, when entrepreneur Gertrude Lindberg established a cardboard factory in Aizpute. It became one of the most important industrial enterprises in Kurzeme, exporting its products throughout what was then the Russian Empire. Over the years, the factory went through<\/div>
Various periods of history, several reorganizations and political changes, but the production tradition in this place was continuously maintained. Today, it is an important part of Aizpute's industrial heritage.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A significant turning point was 1960, when part of the Riga metal products factory was moved to Aizpute “Kv\u0113le”<\/strong> and created the key and construction accessories factory 'Aizpute'. Just five years later, the company gained a name Metal hardware factory<\/strong> “Kurzeme”<\/strong>, or MFR<\/strong> KURZEME <\/strong>\u2013 a name that has lasted all the way to the present day in the form of a quality mark.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
From the very beginning, the factory specialized in manufacturing metal fittings and locks. It became the only specialized factory of this type in Latvia, developing a wide range of window and door hardware and gradually becoming one of the most important companies in this industry in the Baltics.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
In the 1970s, the company experienced rapid growth \u2013 it built a new production facility, introduced automated part and assembly manufacturing, modern galvanization technologies, and quality control systems. Production efficiency increased several times, while maintaining high quality standards. During this period, MFR \u201cKurzeme\u201d products reached thousands of buildings across the Soviet Union, and some items were even exported abroad.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

After Latvia regained independence, the company adapted to the new market conditions by expanding its operations in metal processing, metal forging, woodworking, and the production of custom metal products. In 2022, the operations of the historic Metal Hardware Factory 'Kurzeme'<\/div>
continued AS KURZEMES ATSL\u0112GA, preserving not only the brand and technologies but also the knowledge and professional expertise accumulated over more than sixty years.<\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Today, MFR KURZEME is not only one of the continuators of Latvia's industrial history, but also the only metal fittings manufacturer in the Baltics that combines full-cycle production, historical expertise, and modern solutions.
